--Monday's rout of the Rangers moved the Angels within 10 runs of the club record for runs scored in a season. They scored 866 runs in 1979. They have 856 this season with six games to play. --C Mike Napoli's home run in the fourth inning Sunday was his 62nd as a catcher. That broke a tie with Bengie Molina and Lance Parrish for the most home runs by an Angels catcher. --LHP Joe Saunders' victory Sunday was his sixth in seven starts since returning from the disabled list near the end of August. Saunders has a 2.44 ERA (12 earned runs, 44 1/3 innings) in those seven starts.
--OF Bobby Abreu reached the 100-RBI plateau with a two-run home run Saturday. He and Cardinals 1B Albert Pujols are the only players to drive in at least 100 runs in each of the past seven seasons.
--1B Kendry Morales went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBI Sunday to reach the 100-RBI milestone. He is the first Angels first baseman to drive in 100 runs since Mo Vaughn in 2000. He and Abreu give the Angels two 100-RBI men for the first time since Vladimir Guerrero (126) and Jose Guillen (104) in 2004.
BY THE NUMBERS: 0 -- Grand slams hit by the Angels this season (the only AL team without one this season). The Angels have not gone through a whole season without a grand slam since 1974.
