--The Angels had three triples in Thursday's game -- by Bobby Abreu, Torii Hunter and Erick Aybar. That ties the club record for triples in a game. It's the seventh time in franchise history they've had three triples in a game, the first since May 13, 1991, in Cleveland (Luis Polonia, Dave Winfield, Dick Schofield).
--C Jeff Mathis drove in one run with a sacrifice fly, then the game-winner with an RBI single in the 12th inning Thursday. He is batting .471 (8-for-17) with runners in scoring position this season.
--RHP Matt Palmer's complete game Wednesday was the third in the last six games for the Angels (Joe Saunders and Jered Weaver had the others). The Angels had not had three complete games thrown in a six-game span since July 5-14, 2006. Bartolo Colon and John Lackey (twice) did it then.
--RHP Jered Weaver wound up with a no-decision Tuesday despite holding the Red Sox to one run on four hits through seven innings. Since allowing four runs in the first inning at Yankee Stadium on May 1, Weaver has allowed just two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out 14 in 21 innings.
